Film-maker Kahleem Poole Tejada, AKA Kahl-One, has just released a new short feature starring a member of the WWE roster.
Training at Zealous Nation MMA with head coach Oleg Savitsky, Vladimir Kozlov comes through to his old friend’s gym to keep his Sambo skills up to par by hitting some mitts and practicing some submissions. Kozlov was recently legitimately released from WWE, and is now wrestling under the name Alexander Kozlov, and was most recently seen in action in the Inoki Genome Federation in Japan. Kozlov debuted in WWE back in 2008 and was a member of their ECW roster until that show was canceled. During his tenture with the company, he won the tag team titles with Santino Marella once, but his real credentials include winning the USA Open Heavyweight Sambo Champion in 2005, as well as becoming the USKBA International Heavyweight Grappling Champion.
Is a transition into the world of MMA in the future for Kozlov? Sounds like it, as both he and Savitsky voice their interest in competing in the sport, so stay tuned for more details as this story develops.
