UFC Undisputed 09 beats Wii Fit in the UK as #1 game

For six weeks, Wii Fit has been in the number one spot in the UK as best selling game. Finally, someone has knocked it off and that someone is UFC Undisputed!
One analyst, Todd Mitchell of New York’s Kaufman Bros., mentioned in a recent Bloomberg.com piece that he expects more than two million units of the video game to be sold in nine months.
Shares of THQ, which traded at more than $22 each a year ago, now trades at less than $5. The company found early success with WWE titles that have generated more than $1.5 billion in sales over the past decade, though recent titles have flopped for the company. The new UFC game, which is a part of a three-year agreement with THQ, is hoped to save the company and has gained extremely positive reviews from many sites and more importantly, the fans.
Wii Fit is still currently the best selling game of all time (believe it or not), but who knows, maybe the UFC game can eventually hold that title too. I don’t think Mario or Luigi have much stand-up, let alone takedown defense.
