UFC President Dana White Sounds Off Against Floyd Mayweather

One thing fans and the media have been able to count on from UFC president Dana White is inflammatory language.  Whether he’s cussing up a storm in a video blog or loudly expressing an unpopular opinion, White is no stranger to conflict. In a rare turning of the tables this week, White aimed his famous mouth to call someone else out on their cultural insensitivity.

In the above video clip from Fuel TV’s “UFC Tonight,” White calls pound for pound great Floyd Mayweather Jr. a racist for comments the boxer made about Jeremy Lin and Manny Pacquiao.

“Yes, Floyd, you’re racist with the stuff that you said,” White addressed Mayweather directly. “First of all [you claim] Jeremy Lin gets all this credit for being an Asian player in the NBA that African Americans never get…. Really? Kobe Bryant doesn’t get any praise? Michael Jordan never got any praise?”

As a man who spent much of his career as a target for accusations of bigotry, it’s interesting to see White fire similar sentiments at another public figure. White went on to demand that Mayweather set up a fight with Manny Pacquiao, further decrying racist comments Pretty Boy Floyd levied against the Phillipino fighter for his heritage.
