UFC on FOX 2 Live Play by Play & Results

Starting today at 3:30 PM CST, we will be live at the United Center, in Chicago Illinois. UFC will be making its second free broadcast on Fox starting at 7 PM CST with an exciting triple header featuring; Chris Weidman vs Demian Maia, Michael Bisping vs Chael Sonnen, and Phil Davis vs Rashad Evans. Fuel TV and Facebook will be showing all of the prelim fights leading up to the main card, but if you can’t watch it live, you can follow along on this page. Make sure to keep you eyes here for the most up to date “UFC on Fox 2″ play by play and information.

Chris Camozzi vs Dustin Jacoby

Round 1:

Jacoby throws camozzi to the mat on a failed shot. Knees from Camozzi. Chris wading forward. Low blow from Camozzi stalls action. Great knee Jacoby. Jacoby getting better of action until a right from Cammozi puts him down. Hard round to call

Round 2:

Pretty even on the feet with both fighters more cautious. Low blow by Jacoby and Cammozi recovers quick. Camozzi controlling ring better. While Jacoby lands more significant blows.

Round 3:

Cammozi quickly takes center and is the aggressor. Jacoby is bleeding from the nose. Low kick drops Jacoby,  Camozzi pulls a standing choke Jacoby taps!

Chris Cammozi defeats Dustin Jacoby via tap out 1.08 of the third round.

Joey Beltran vs Lavar Johnson

Round 1:

No touching gloves. Johnson quickly drops Beltran and the clinch in the corner. Beltran looks to be recovered as he is being pressed into the cage. They break as they fight for position against the cage. Johnson getting the better of the standup. Beltran geting picked apart as soon as his back is against the cage. Fight slows with Beltran looking for a sloppy shot. Beltran can’t seem to get past Johnson’s jab. Johnson puts Beltran against the cage for final time as Joey is clearly out on his feet.

Lavar Johnson defeats Joey Beltran via knockout at 4.25 of the first round.

Michael Johnson vs Shane Roller

Round 1:

Johnson pawing jab early, stuffs big shot from Roller and they battle for position then break. Both men showing off good footwork. Shot from Roller stuffed again as Roller tries to pull him down. Johnson has Roller against the fence as he gets a clean shot on the break. Big knee to the side from Roller. Johnson again presses him against the fence as the action stalls. Johnson dodges the shot and presses Roller into the fence, again Johnson finds some success with a quick flurry.Flying knee before the bell staggers Roller.

10-9 Johnson.

Round 2:

Low kicks from Johnson seem effective and he wades in and presses Roller into a familiar spot. Roller connects and Johnson is momentarily staggered until he gets the action against the fence. Scramble, and Johnson has Roller on his back, but in his guard. They are back up quickly as Roller connects. Combo lands for Johnson. They scramble and Roller momentarily takes his back.

10-9 Johnson, but much better round for Roller.

Round 3:

Big combo from Johnson. They clinch and Johnson gets pulled to the ground. Roller takes his back and gets hooks in. Big punches from behind as he secures a body triangle. Herb Dean stops the fight for a moment to warn Roller about illegal strikes. The battery continues as Johnson survive a choke. Johnson is surviving on the ground but not able to improve position. Roller is a bit high up to ge the choke. Johnson reverses and ends up in Rollers guard and rains down some elbows. The fighters stand.  Johnson with flying knee and then low blow mid combo. Big flurry at the end. 10-9 Roller.

Michael Johnson defeats Shane Roller via decision 29/28.

Charles Oliveira vs Eric Wisely

Round 1:

Legs kicks from Charles keep Wisely on the outside. Charles grabs Wisely’s legs from the trip and is on top. Punches from above as Wisely threatens the upkick, They battle for ankle lock as Charles pulls him back. The ankle lock is still in place! Wisely taps as his knee is in a bad place. Amazing calf crank submission.

Charles Oliveira wins via tap out at 1.43 of the first round.

George Roop vs Cub Swanson

Round 1:

Roop using kicks to keep distance. Cub’s leg kicks are coming up short. Knee from Roop pushes Cub back. Counter off wheel kick hurts cub as he then swarms Roop with a flurry. Roop flurries but Cub covers nicely. Cub tags Roop as he moves forward. Shot from Roop is stuffed and Cub throws him to the mat. They soon stand as Roop continues to look for the head kick. Nice body kick from Cub lands. Cub pulls Roop to the mat and eats an upkick for his troubles.

10/9 Cub Swanson.

Round 2:

Roop stumbles coming in for a hook. Roop continues the leg kicks from the outside. Cub eats a knee to the body coming in. Nice body shot and kick from Swanson. Huge right from Cub and Roop hits the mat. Roop eats a few extra shots than he should of as Big John Pulls Cub off him!

Cub Swanson wins via TKO at 2.22 of the second round.

Jon Olav Einemo vs Mike Russow

Round 1: Russow steamrolls Jon into the cage, and take hm down. He sits in his butterfly guard for a bit until they stand. Some nice knees from John and Russow pushes him back with a flurry. Jon connects with a few and Russow backs off. They exchange knees in the clinch. Russow lands a big flurry and throws Jon to the mat. Jon pulls guard and peppers from his back. Jon’s strikes seem to be effective as Russow struggles to advance position. Big upkick as Russow backs out. Jon reverses the position as the bell rings.

10/9 Mike Russow

Round 2:

Russow works a takedown as Jon threatens a guillotine. They end up in Jon’s guard as Rossow can’t seem to get his wrists back. Upkicks as Russow stands. He can’t seem to squeak out of Jon’s Guard. Russow has some successful strikes from half-guard and drops a big elbow standing in Jon’s guard. Herb Dean wisely stands them. Russow immediately pulls Jon back down and bloodies his nose.

10/9 Russow, dominant round spent in Jon’s guard.

Round 3:

Jon flashes a highkick and defends a take down. Big knee and strikes hurts Russow, but he manages to get the fight to the mat. Jon threatens a triangle, but Russow pulls out. Russow stands and drives back into Jon’s guard. Jon attempts a sweep and is pulls back down. Herb Dean strangely stands them as Russow passes into half guard . Big knees from Jon and Russows pulls the game back to the mat. Back into guard. Mike just can’t seem to advance.

10/9 Russow.

Mike Russow wins via unanimous decision 29/28 29/28 30/27.

Evan Dunham vs Nik Lentz

Round 1:

Both men trade early. Lentz pulls Dunham down to the mat breifly. Dunham stuffs the shot. Lentz shoots in and eats a few shots, but completes the takedown. Dunham is quickly back up, but ends up with Lentz threatening a guillotine. Dunham reverses position against the cage and creates some distance. Dunham stuff the shots and threatens a standing choke. They hit the mat, but quickly scramble back up. Big takedown from Dunham as he ends up in Lentz’s guard. big shots from Dunham as the round ends.

Tough round to score, but I’ll go 10/9 Dunham.

Round 2:

Dunham flurries in and gets a big takedown. Another scramble and Dunham pulls him to the mat. Big punches from Lentz after they stands. Lentz moving forward with power shots. The two trade against the fence and Lentz takes damage, but fights his way out. Dunham successfully pulls Lentz back to the ground.  Big shots from above and Dunham secures a choke from the top. It looks tight, but Lentz survives. Lentz is looking pretty banged up but gets a hold of a whizzer to get back up. Dunham is landing solidly on Lentz, but he still pushes forward.

10/9 Dunham, great round. Camera shows huge cut under Lent’s eye.

The fight is stopped!

Evan Dunham wins via doctor’s stoppage!

Demian Maia vs Chris Weidman

Round 1:

The two test their range. Chris wades in and Maia slips. They swing wildly with no one connecting. Chris paws out the jab. Maia lands a knee. Keeps missing with his left. Chris misses a superman punch and Maia connects. Chris almost takes Maia’s back and then tosses him towards the cage.  Solid body kick from Chris, followed by a heavy leg kick. Chris with the trip, and pulls Maia down. Back up quickly and Maia flurries into a slip.

I’d say 10/9 Weidman for the takedown. They seem to neutralize each other.

Round 2:

Chris gets the takedown into side control, but they are back up quick. Maia attempts a shot, but is quickly stuffed. They stand together and wiff punches at each other. Chris is connecting with some nice body shots and kicks, but nothing significant. Weidman seems to be breathing a bit heavy as the crowd booes. The rapid weight cut may be having its effect. Body shot from Maia countered with a low kick from Chris. Chris attempts a takedown and Maia flurries on him. Chris with the takedown into Maia’s guard. They roll for position as Chris attempts a guillotine.

10/9 Weidman

Round 3:

Maia stuff Chris’s takedown and attempts his own. The trade  bit and Maia is pulled down. Maia seems content holding Chris in his guard and is looking at Herb Dean. They are back up again as Maia’s takedown is repeatedly stuffed. Weidman drags the fight to its knees. The two tired fighters are swinging. A failed shot from Maia is quickly brought back to the feet. Knees exchanged as the crowd boos loudly. Chris connected some knees in the clinch. Maia is looking bloodied up from Chris’s jabs. A very bizarre fight from both men. Chris connects come dirty boxing and high kick. Crowd is not happy.

10/9 Weidman.

Chris Weidman wins via split decision 29/28, 29/28 Weidman 29/28 Maia.

Michael Bisping vs Chael Sonnen

Round 1:

Sonnen moves in quickly for the takedown. Bisping is up quickly and lands some big strikes. Sonnen presses against the fence. Sonnen throwing knees. Bisping scrambles away. Chael pulls Bisping down and holds top position raining down strikes. Bisping is up quickly. Knees from Bisping. Bispings drops for a take down, but is stuffed. Sonnen stalks Bisping and clinches against the fence. Bisping reverses the position and is landing blows on Sonen. Kick from Bisping misses. Sonnen shoots then misses. Right from Sonen stumbles Bisping. Left counter from Bisping stumbles Chael. Bisping dirty boxing against the fence.

Great round from both fighters 10/9 Sonnen for takedowns.

Round 2:

Big flurry from Bisping catches Sonnen coming in. They clinch against the fence, Bisping reverses position. Mccarthy breaks the action. Bisping throws a stiff jab, but Sonnen completes the takedown. Sonnen is working in Bispings guard. Bisping is cut under his eye. Bisping’s guard is giving him touble. Sonnen hits Bisping on the way up. Sonnen eats some big shots from Bisping, and gets pressed against the cage. Bisping attempts a single leg, but gives it up.

Hard to call, Bisping looks fresher, but Sonnen with the take down. 10/9 Sonnen

Round 3:

Sonnen with a big shot and gets Bisping on his back. Bispings guard looks good as Sonnen scrambles for position. Bisping is up as Sonen takes his back. Hooks are in and they roll. Chael goes to full mount. Bisping doing a good job of keeping Chael from positioning. Chael withshoulder strikes. Bisping gets half guard when Sonnen tries to reposition. Bisping scrambles and attempts to wall walk. They are both up as Bisping gets a takedown and lands some strikes.

10/9 Sonnen.

Chael Sonnen wins via unanimous decision 30/27, 29/28, 29/28.

Phil Davis vs Rashad Evans

Round 1:

Davis throws the jabs and kicks early. Legs kicks from Phil. Phil spins into the clinch and Rashad presses him into the fence. They break and Phil’s shot is stuffed. Rashad looks to be setting up a knee. They break clean and Phil continues to wade in with Rashad getting the better of the exchange. Phil misses the shot but pressures Rashad into the fence. Rashad catches Phil’s kick and winds up in half guard. Evans secures half guard then to crucifix. Davis sneaks out but is still in bad position.

10/9 Evans

Round 2:

Davis misses a huge kick, and throws more low kicks. The pace has slowed a bit as the men feel each other out. They momentarily clinch. Evans storms in and they clinch against the fence. They continue to paw off shots, with Rashad getting the better of the exchange. Big kick from Phil is caught and Evans takes the fight down into Phil’s half guard.

10/9 Evans

Round 3:

Phil can’t seem to find his range with his strikes. Rashad stuffs Phil’s shot and the wrestle for position. Phil holds onto the single leg and slowly pulls Evans down. Evans reveres the bad position and has Phil on his back against the fence. Evans gets the hooks in but Phil scrambles out. Big uppercut from Evans. Phil drops for a takedown but is easily shaken off. Phil looks tired, but he completes a takedown! Evans is back up quickly, but Phil is holding on.

10/9 Evans

Round 4:

Phil attempts to box, but still is coming up short. A couple jabs from Evans back Davis up. Rashad is starting to connect on the counter more frequently. Evans pulls Davis to the mat, but Phil gets the underhooks and they are up. Davis gives up his shot and Rashad scrambles to Phil’s back. They return to standing position and Davis attempts to drop for a takedown again, unsuccessfully. They both throw wiffs until the bell.

10/9 Evans

Round 5:

Rashad keeps throwing his jab, backing Davis up. Phil throws a kick which is caught by Rashad, and they hit the mat. Rashad gets him into a crucifix, and Davis wiggles out. The fight stands and Evans connects on the way up. Evans connects a big right. Davis attempts a sloppy shot that is easily stuffed. Rashad misses a trip. Big kick from Phil misses.  They clinch up and throw until the bell.

10/9 Evans

Rashad Evans wins by unanimous decision. 50/45
