UFC in NY Press Conference highlight video
On January 13, 2011, the UFC came to New York City to discuss their plans to push the legalization and sanctioning of the UFC & MMA in the state. Held in the historic Madison Square Garden, speakers included UFC President Dana White, UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta,UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar, Assemblyman Dean Murray, Scott O’ Neill from MSG Sports, and Jamie Springer of HR&A Advisors, who conducted the financial study to support the facts provided by the UFC’s public relation team for this effort, Global Strategy Group.
Topics included the economic benefits of MMA shows in NY, educating the mainstream public, if Madison Square Garden will work with other MMA promotions, and why New York is completely missing the ball by not having the sport legalized. Check out the video for highlights of this press conference!
