In honor of season fourteen of “The Ultimate Fighter” on Spike TV, it is about time we brought back the old favorite, “TUF Times”, where cast-members blog for the nerd! Joining us for this edition of TUF Times is Dustin “The Beast” Neace, who is a featherweight on the show, and a member of Team Miller along with John Dodson, Johnny Bedford, Dustin Pague, Roland Delorme, Dennis Bermudez, Bryan Caraway, and Steven Siler. Let’s kick this blog off the way all should be – with a comment about testicles!
Three ball question… Yes it’s true! I do have three testicles, and yes, all three work!
I know people want to know about me and Akira but the truth is me and him got along great before the show started. The first time we were in Vegas for the tryouts, I thought he was funny and would consider him someone I could hang out with. He was always finding ways to make things happen that would just make you laugh so hard. The first few days in the house he was alright, then the team picks happened. He started playing pranks and talking shit about everyone, which is also fine because it’s part of the show, but then he started to attack me more than the other guys.
Most of the time, I am not the type of person who’s going to attack back. But being in that house with 16 other people will change a person! It makes you want to find ways to have any kind of excitement. Well I knew this was a chance to have some fun! So I let it go on for a few days and I played a few pranks back which they didn’t show. Then he started just messing with me and then I could tell he was doing it scare me or something. I am never going to let anyone just punk on me for no reason so I defend myself and yeah a few words were exchanged and during the argument I could tell he didn’t want me to pick him to fight. He kept saying I will fight you later in the tournament and I wanted to pick him next and fight!
Later that day the team had found out about John Dodson telling the other team about our injuries and what we are best at. Yes I was shocked about it! But I really didn’t care. Way I looked at it is we are fighters and we all train the same thing and could all end up fighting each other… So it did not matter to me, nor did I really care. I still think Johns a pretty cool guy. I know him and John did not get along to well up till this point and they never really took the time to get to know each other.
I have known Johnny and Taz both years before we were on the show. I fought Johnny twice and have been on the same fight cards with Taz in the past. I get along a lot better with Taz then Johnny only because I have never fought Taz. I knew going into this fight Johnny was going to win. Only because Johnny’s a true 135lb fighter. Taz should be at 125lbs. Taz is a great fighter though and once the UFC opens that weight class I think Taz will do great.
