Round 5 MMA announces a ton of upcoming releases for late 2011

Round 5 MMA has announced a ton of new action figures coming out through the year, with more reveals to come!

On the company’s facebook page, the company listed their upcoming figures, and it’s a pretty impressive list.

Ultimate Collector Series 7 (Available Sept):
Georges St-Pierre (New sculpt)
Frankie Edgar – Championship Edition (meaning it comes with a championship belt for the figure)
Thiago Alves
Urijah Faber
Junior Dos Santos
Arianny Celeste (Chase Figure)
Bruce Lee – Enter the Dragon (Chase Figure)

Ultimate Collector Series 7 Limited Edition (Available Sept):
Urijah Faber (WEC)
Frankie Edgar
Thiago Alves
Junior Dos Santos

Versus Series 2 (Available September): – (These are their two-pack sets)
Georges St-Pierre vs. BJ Penn
Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida
Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar (Season 1 Ultimate Fighter Finale)
Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez

Also announced were Ultimate Collector Series 8, UFC Titans Series 1, and their UFC Live (HD) series, although no further details were revealed about what would be in those. I am most excited for their Bruce Lee figure, and who wouldn’t be? This is a big year for Bruce Lee fans, especially with the first of many amazing 12″ figures from Hot Toys released this year. The heavily stylized look of Round 5 should lend itself to some very interesting pieces and, while I have been cutting back on my nerdy purchases lately, I will have to splurge and get this Lee figure… unless Round 5 loves me and wants to send me one just because they’re awesome.

At the UFC Fan Expo in Toronto earlier this month, the company showed off a few of these figures, while Jakks Pacific also unveiled a ton of new figures coming out from them, including Dana White, Bruce Buffer, and the TapouT crew.
