Kimbo stars in “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 10

The unthinkable has happened. Hell froze over. Blood rained from a lacerated sky. Cats and dogs are living together.

Kimbo Slice will be fighting for a spot in the UFC on Season 10 of Spike TV’s “The Ultimate Fighter.”

Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports broke the news first, with quotes from Dana White himself. If you remember, White was the man who previously said the usual colorful comments that we have came to love and expect from the Lex Luthor of MMA. But being the most powerful man in MMA metropolis meant eventually Kimbo would have to fall in line and join the ranks of the UFC.

Season 10 will be coached by Rashad Evans and Quinton Jackson, and fireworks were expected to fly even before the announcement of Kimbo Slice. Slice’s record stands at 3-1, with his last fight being his sole loss to Seth Petruzelli at the swan song of Elite XC. The other participants in this sesaons show are still being kept secret but I have a few ideas of who I would like to see and if you follow the MMA world outside of MMA, you might be able to piece things together.

While blood and locust may fall from the sky, ratings will rise like Cthulu from the depths of the sea. For those not into Lovecraft mythos, thats several miles high. Kimbo does not even need to fight to gain ratings, and he has generally been laidback until its fight time, since he prefers to not get involved in a conflict unless he will finish it moments later, so it will be interesting to see what a house full of booze, testosterone and cameras will make. If Kimbo survives to the finale, it could become the highest rated show in the history of Spike TV.

White worked hard to keep Slice’s appearance on the show a secret, and succeeded. The season was originally slated to feature a cast of eight heavyweights and eight middleweights, but the UFC quietly informed the middleweights who tried out that it was going with an all-heavyweight show.

And unlike in recent seasons, where the competitors had to win a fight to earn their way into the house, there will be no such arrangement this time. All 16 fighters – Spike and the UFC are keeping names of the others a closely guarded secret – will automatically move into the house.

So what do you think of Kimbo’s shot in TUF 10? Will he make it to the finals and become a member of the elite UFC or will he be jabbed into elimination?

UGH, I still can’t get my mind around his enormous cock-headedness for being a little shit-stain in the rankings of MMA.
Maybe his skills and stamina have stepped up, I’m counting on and HOPING for a NO.

  2. Fernando says:

I KNOW FOR A FACT HE WON’T MAKE IT PAST THE FIRST ELIMINATION. UNLESS OF COURSE THE POWERS THAT BE WANT HIM TO AND GIVE HIM SOME PUSSY TO FACE AGAINST…

  3. Bernard says:

I hope he gets KO’ed first fight
