Jens Pulver documentary gets nationwide release

If you don’t like Jens Pulver, you just simply are not a fan of MMA. The man has been there since the old days of the sport (back when fences were chiseled from limestone and alligator moats surrounded the cage), and has done it all. Recently, Pulver has gotten back to his winning ways thanks to a new coach in Jeff Curran, and he can also proudly say that his documentary is receiving national distribution status.

Gregory Bayne, producer and director of the “Driven” documentary, sent out an email to fans and former buyers, proclaiming, “As of today I am in the final steps to locking in national distribution for JENS PULVER | DRIVEN. We’re very excited about the partner we have found, and the exposure they will bring to the film. I will have more details to share with you once we’re signed, sealed and delivered, but I wanted to let you know that as part of our deal we’ll be placing sales of the film on DVD or Digital Download via our site on moratorium until our official July release date. “

In other words, if you did not buy it before then, you are boned until the Summer. This is big news for the little documentary that could, which is why I also think it’s time I end my silence on the film. I bought this last year and have not done a review because I have been trying to find the right way to say it, but frankly I did not like the film one bit. In spite of that, I also recommend you see it. See why this is so hard for me? Expect a review from me next week on this with an explanation as to why I don’t like it but still think you need to see it.

This is a review I’m awaiting with eagerness. I disagree with you, though:

    You’re disobeying the dictum…
