James Toney blames IRS for loss to Randy Couture, and will be back in MMA

Sorry, not that IRS. I mean the Internal Revenue Service IRS, the dudes that are part of the Department of the Treasury. Sorry to disappoint you. There has been a lot of talk about WWF/WWE guys today, it’s so hard to tell the difference between pro-wrestling and MMA sometimes… nah, I’m just screwing with you guys. But seriously, Mike Rotunda was awesome as IRS.

According to an interview with BJPenn.com, James Toney claimed that it was the US Government that is more to blame for him being beaten by Randy Couture, a man with a decades worth experience in MMA, at UFC 118 last year in his octagon debut. “I learned to keep my emotions in check. I lost my attention span in that fight. I was dealing with all that bullshit before with the IRS and that’s what happened. When I heard the IRS was after my check right before that fight. It was like 35 minutes before that fight I found out they wanted to come take my money so my mind wasn’t on the fight, it was on that situation.”

Toney somehow managed to make somewhere between $750,000 to $1,000,000 for his fight with Couture, believe it or not. If you do the math, he made more money per minute than most people make in five years, and most likely more than I will make in the entirety of my life. It makes me want to be James Toney, but then I realize that every morning I would wake up and half to remind myself that I am James Toney. The boxer also says he is far from finished with his mixed martial arts career. “Just because I lost the fight with Couture doesn’t mean I’m done with MMA. I’m still going to go back in there. I have just been handling big business right now. I’m looking forward to getting back in there, hopefully against Rampage Jackson.”

Toney has been pushing for a fight with Rampage for awhile, but I doubt we will see that unless Rampage loses his next two fights in a row and needs an excuse to get an easy win to stay in the company. If it does happen, I hope Jackson brings Ted Dibiase with him as part of his corner to really distract Toney.

The IRS takes all my tax returns every year and has the audacity to try to put liens on my accounts. Then they erroneously credit my account, then take the money away, then charge me for the erroneous charge. It totally makes sense to me that James Toney could lose a fight based on the IRS retards. I can only imagine how the IRS could screw high paid athlete/fighter. Next time channel that rage into your opposing fighter. Unless it brings about an untimely demise. IRS rage uncontrolled has led to many crazy happenings.
