Jakks Pacific unveils new UFC toys at UFC Fan Expo including TapouT crew

Following up on today’s earlier story, Round 5 was not the only toy company in attendance at the UFC Fan Expo in Toronto. Jakks Pacific, maker of highly articulated UFC, Pride FC and WEC action figures, had a large booth of their own to show off the latest releases, including a few never before seen prototypes.
For the first time ever, the TapouT crew of Mask, Skyskrape and Punkass, have been immortalized in action figure form. The real TapouT crew was on hand to pose with the six-inch versions of themselves and seemed extremely pleased with their likenesses. Also on hand to give his thumbs up was Bruce Buffer, whose action figure will come with a microphone and vintage yelling face so kids at home can FINALLY do the Buffer 360 when Darth Vader fights Brock Lesnar in Castle Greyskull. Do kids still know what Castle Greyskull is? They should.
The Dana White action figure also made its first public appearance at the expo, having been announced earlier this year. Other new figures on display included Junior Dos Santos, and new versions of old favorites with updated face scans and new shorts like Don Frye, Wanderlei Silva, Urijah Faber, Georges St. Pierre, Tito Ortiz, Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar. Meanwhile, I am now petitioning Jakks to give us an executive “Iceman” figure of Chuck Liddell, complete with his office desk and coffee mug.
