Genki Sudo performs live on new Japanese TV show

If you were watching carefully in the crowd at UFC 144, you may have been in for a bit of an old school treat. The one and only Genki Sudo was ringside acting as a reporter for a Japanese sports station. For those who don’t remember, Sudo was a force in MMA, known for his upbeat attitude and amazing dancing acrobatics in the cage. Sudo was last in the UFC cage at UFC 47, defeating former WEC Featherweight Champion Mike Brown by submission.

Last month a Japanese news program had Genki and his band, World Order for a special live performance, displaying their interesting dance skills and hypnotic beats. Sudo left MMA in 2006, siting a back injury. Genki continues his life on screen with appearances on Kamen Rider and other Japanese sci-fi outings. What I wouldn’t give to see him in the cage again. We are all one.
