Fans can choose cover for “UFC Undisputed 3″ video game

THQ Inc. and Zuffa, LLC announced a franchise-first for gamers to choose the cover athlete for “UFC Undisputed 3″, the much-anticipated third installment in the UFC videogame franchise (excluding the “UFC Personal Trainer” workout game for the motion-sensor peripherals).

By visiting the UFC’s website starting Aug. 26, 2011 through Sept. 30, 2011, consumers may choose from one of five renowned UFC fighters – UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar, UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, or UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez – to appear on the front cover of the videogame. In addition, by casting their votes, select consumers will have an opportunity to enter a sweepstakes to win tickets for a future UFC live event.

UFC Undisputed 3 is currently in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles, with a scheduled release of January 2012. The last UFC game to be released was UFC Undisputed 2010, followed by EA Sports MMA in 2011.
