EA MMA Trailer – Fedor VS Rogers
In case you missed it on Saturday night, or just want to see it again to get a second glimpse of it, here is the trailer of EA’s upcoming MMA video game. The trailer features the main event from CBS’ Fight Night, that being Fedor Emelianeko VS Brett Rogers, except EA saw it a lot differently from what ended up happening, so props to them for having a good imagination. The graphics look great, and it’s nothing we should not expect from a company like Electronic Arts on a next-gen console. However, the real key is gameplan, which EA has claimed will be different from the THQ game and possibly more realistic to actual fighting. Does this make you want to buy the game anymore than before?

I haven’t fired up my Xbox in months, but Undisputed was the last game I played seriously. If this launched the same time as Undisputed, I would have gone with EA MMA. I think EA handles sports games better than THQ handles wrestling titles. In fact, any wrestling game I’ve played off the THQ label has generally sucked. Undisputed was a lot better. But when it comes down to it, EA > everybody when it comes to sports titles. There’s a reason dudes are making stacks and stacks and stacks playing Madden.
But, I’m still a fan of WAMMA from Greydog Software. Text based sims are l33t.
(by WAMMA, I mean WMMA, World of Mixed Martial Arts…still have that Fedor/Rogers fight on the brain.)
Wow, the announcer is awful in this trailer. Hopefully they get that fixed. Ever since Madden “left,” the announcements in Madden has gone down hill to almost laughable. Will the trend continue?!
