Check out the Matt Hamill movie in select theaters next month

Be on the lookout for a new MMA movie based on the life of UFC veteran and acclaimed collegiate wrestler, Matt Hamill, hitting select theaters next month! The film stars Russell Harvard as Hamill, who is also deaf in real life as well, and was directed by Oren Kaplan and written by Joseph McKelheer and Eben Kostbar.

Here is the description of the film from their website: Hamill is a sports drama depicting the struggles and successes Matt faces on the way to becoming a champion. Raised among those with the ability to hear, Matt later finds himself no less an outsider amidst the Deaf Community. Through sheer determination, he uses his perceived disability as an asset, and becomes both the first deaf wrestler to win a National Collegiate Championship and an inspirational force to the hearing and deaf alike.

You can check it out at the Miami Film Festival (Screening on March 7th and March 9th), Cleveland Film Festival (Screening on Thursday, March 24th), …Florida Film Festival (Screening sometime between April 8th – April 17th), and the Newport Beach Film Festival (Screening sometime between April 28th – May 5th). More screening locations will hopefully be added in time around the US.
