Arianny Celeste: Singer or Plagiarist?

A few days ago, we took a sneak peek at UFC octagon girl Arianny Celeste, who is on the verge of releasing her first musical single, “Fight to love me”. Just as quickly as this news broke, some music nut did some digging around and it seems that Arianny’s hot new track might not be so hot, and might even sound a little familiar.

Youtuber StocktonHeyBuddy has put together the video you see above, where he compares “Fight to Love Me” with another song called “Remedy” by British Electro-pop musician “Little Boots” AKA Victoria Christina Hesketh. Take a listen to them side by side and make your own judgement. After hearing it, you might say all techno songs sound the same anyway, and who ever heard of this boots chick anyway? As the good folks at Cagepotato found out, looks like Miss Celeste might in fact be familiar with the group:

So, is this a strange coincidence of beats sounding alike, or is this flagrant plagiarism? You decide! Argue amongst yourselves in the comments below. Also, despite being annoying as Fran Drescher’s voice, the chorus keeps getting stuck in my head and I don’t like it one bit. Time to wash that out with some Megadeth!

Some Megadeth Into the Lungs of Hell should get that chorus out of your head quick. This song is horrible. What a joke.

So are you telling me that some song featuring the warbling of a chick who holds a number over her head and takes pictures of her vagina for magazines sounds like some other song by someone in Britain who’s name is more familiar than their music, which in turn also sounds like every other image driven canned shlock on the pop charts, in TV shows and in Twilight movies?

I dont see what the problem is.

I’m looking for my slippers right now so that I can ride my bike to walmart and buy the album.

  4. [...] Gorets! – Awesome techno song that the boys from the Gorets team used to enter the ring with. Arianny Celeste could learn a thing or two from Russian music, and we already know she likes listening to European house music. [...]
